When should this go into main space?

While I don't immediately intend to put this into main space because I don't think it is ready. I am asking for advice on when it would be considered main space ready.

I’m not necessarily asking if it’s ready now (because I don’t think that’s the case; if I were to run it through AFC, it would be denied). I'm not convinced that the article serves the purpose of splitting it off from the existing article. First off, it should be written like other flood articles, having a "meteorological history" separate from "impacts". You should also fix the references first before publishing. Also I'm not sure it should be called "eastern Kentucky flood" when it affected a broader area than just Kentucky. Maybe Appalachian floods? Also, you should find a damage total. There needs to be more on this specific event, and establishing what the event was (was it a cold front? dissipating storm?) Otherwise, the article doesn't really serve any purpose other than going into slightly more detail than what's in the July–August 2022 United States floods. ♫ Hurricanehink (talk) 18:20, 22 August 2024 (UTC)[reply]

I’ll probably need help fixing the meteorological history part once I’m done. But I can get the basics. As for the damage total; I don’t know. Also, where would I be able to find the damage estimates? Because Storm Data is significantly underestimating the damage total (they have it wrote down as in the thousands of dollars when we all know good and well it was very likely well into the millions) 🌀 Hurricane Clyde 🌀 (talk) 18:45, 22 August 2024 (UTC)[reply]

NCEI estimates the combined damage between Missouri and Kentucky at $1.6 billion, not the best. This gives $450 million. Do some Google searching for various terms like ["Kentucky" "2022" "flood" "damage" "million"]. That's what I did to find the second estimate of $450 million. Death toll

There is conflicting information on here as to the death toll. If someone can find sources to clarify the death toll because WYMT-TV says that 45 people died; but they didn't say how many of these were direct and how many were indirect. 🌀 Hurricane Clyde 🌀 (talk) 21:53, 22 August 2024 (UTC)[reply]
