- Not necessarily, just interesting hooks. Even so, I'm not sure how one could make an "upbeat" hook out of a military drone attack. Bsoyka (t • c • g) 21:52, 29 July 2024 (UTC)
- My point exactly. But I recall editors telling me we could not have hooks that are like this at DYK, because they were downbeat. The same reason we don't see hooks of interesting murders.2603:7000:2101:AA00:54B:36AA:A773:7A69 (talk) 22:00, 29 July 2024 (UTC)
- I don't see that in our guidelines — take a look at WP:DYKINT. I've personally written about a murder and it was added to DYK. Perhaps you're thinking of our rule that hooks must use a neutral point of view? In this case, the hook may seem "downbeat" but it's very neutral, stating simple facts. On the other hand, "... that a terrible drone attack terrorized Tel Aviv?" would be unacceptable for its lack of neutrality. Bsoyka (t • c • g) 22:09, 29 July 2024 (UTC)

Title
[edit]@primaprime: Hello, I believe the move you performed could be viewed as a challenging one which is best to be done after discussion with other users. The pervisou title 2024 Yemeni drone attack on Israel was consistent with its pair, 2024 Israeli strikes on Yemen, and probably some other pages. On the other hand, the current one selected by you is vague and does not show who did the attack. I am going to ask your move be undone. --Mhhossein talk 07:05, 28 July 2024 (UTC)
- There are no reliable sources to support the idea that this was a "Yemeni" attack as that reflects mainly the POV of Houthi propaganda. I'd be fine with Houthi drone attack on Tel Aviv; pages like these will have many acceptable potential titles - though note that this is not the only Houthi attack on Israel as a whole in 2024. - Undone per request by Mhhossein at WP:RMT. If either of you still want to rename the article, please kindly follow instructions for contested moves. If an official RM is opened, you can—after seven days—request closure at WP:CR. Rotideypoc41352 (talk · contribs) 16:02, 28 July 2024 (UTC)

2024 Yemeni drone attack on Israel → 2024 Houthi drone attack on Israel – Not accurate to call this a "Yemeni drone attack" when it wasn't conducted by Yemen's internationally-recognized government. We don't treat other attacks in such a manner; for example, we don't call Hezbollah's missiles "Lebanese attacks". This doesn't need to be consistent with 2024 Israeli strikes on Yemen, because those strikes were conducted on Yemen's internationally-recognized territory (even though said territory is currently under Houthi control).
