When and where did he work, live, etc. while in Chicago. Also, a link to his biography, if it exists, might be good. Any links to some of his pictures? Did he have a principle style or topic? --Pknkly (talk) 02:43, 25 March 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Hello everyone, we are a group of students that wanted to add a contribution and more information to Aaron Siskind page. First, we wanted to add information about his personal life, we found that he had three wives during his lifetime: Sonia Glatter (married in the spring of 1929), Cathy Spencer (married in the summer of 1952), and Carolyn Brandt (married on 25 July 1960). Here is the source: https://www.tandfonline.com/doi/epdf/10.1080/03087298.1992.10442559?needAccess=true

We also want to add his first book to the list of publication:"Aaron Siskind Photographs", published by Horizon Press, New York, 1959. Here are the sources: https://www.abebooks.com/first-edition/Aaron-Siskind-Photographs-Horizon-Press-New/1502838741/bd https://www.tandfonline.com/doi/epdf/10.1080/03087298.1992.10442559?needAccess=true https://www.relations-media.com/wp-content/uploads/2015/02/DOSSIER-DE-PRESSE.pdf

We also would like to add a list of his photo exhibitions he has been featured in at MoMa: https://www.moma.org/artists/5456#exhibitions

We also would like to provide examples of his work throughout the document for reference. Currently only his artistic style is described, and we think the article’s clarity would benefit that examples of his work. Link to examples of his work: https://www.getty.edu/art/collection/person/103KCT

We also would like to insert hyperlink to rhode island school of design: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Rhode_Island_School_of_Design

We also would like to add more details about the “Harlem Document” like the date it was published, what it is about, and where it was shown. here are the sources: https://www.tandfonline.com/doi/epdf/10.1080/03087298.1992.10442559?needAccess=true https://ccp.arizona.edu/artists/aaron-siskind

We also would like to add the information that he created the Feature Group, a subgroup of the Photo League in 1939. Here are the sources: https://ccp.arizona.edu/artists/aaron-siskind https://www.relations-media.com/wp-content/uploads/2015/02/DOSSIER-DE-PRESSE.pdf
