References and notes

[edit]

Pecher, I've restored the references section per WP:CITE. Notes and references look the same at the moment, but that will change as the article expands. See Joel Brand for an example of why it's helpful to have both. SlimVirgin (talk) 01:27, 14 May 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Well, this, of course, depends on the number of refernces. As a rule of thumb, I prefer not to split the sections when the number of referenced works is up to five, which is the cse in this article. However, if the article will expand to include more works, then we can certainly keep the sections separately now. Pecher Talk 15:35, 14 May 2006 (UTC)[reply]
Yes, it'll definitely be expanded soon, Pecher. SlimVirgin (talk) 15:38, 14 May 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Requesting explanation of revert

[edit]

I just noted that Gimboid13 -- with no discussion or explanation -- reverted three edits I made to the Aid and Rescue Committee article.

  • int. link for Hashomer Hatzair
  • + {{Jewish-hist-stub}}
  • copyedit: Hansi Brand (Joel Brand's wife); for Hansi Brand, Joel Brand's wife;

(The copyedit was intended for disambiguation as anyone missing the comma/semicolon might misread this as two different people)

My understanding is that a revert is done to repair damage to an article. So what is consider damaging in what I did? And what, then, might be retained of my edits? (crossposted to Gimboid13's Talk page) Deborahjay 06:17, 10 June 2006 (UTC)[reply]

My mistake. I've reverted back again. Thanks for pointing out the error. - Gimboid13 06:25, 10 June 2006 (UTC)[reply]

New Additions

[edit]

Working on adding some information utilizing Emergency Rescue Records 1936-1956 as well as highlighting the roles of Raoul Wallenberg, utilizing the Ode To Raoul, and also highlighting Ottó Komoly

Let me know what you think Matthewshaw315

To editor Matthewshaw315:, @Slimvirgin: This is not a general article about rescue of Hungarian Jews. It is an article about a particular rescue committee that operated in Budapest. In particular, you have not provided a reference that Wallenberg was a member of the committee and I don't think he was. So he doesn't belong. Zerotalk 04:02, 2 February 2020 (UTC)[reply]
I'm doubtful about Per Anger too. Zerotalk 04:07, 2 February 2020 (UTC)[reply]
Zero0000, thanks for pointing this out. I've removed it. SarahSV (talk) 04:19, 2 February 2020 (UTC)[reply]
