Sullenberger/CBS YouTube video re side-sticks[edit]
When filming with CBS inside an A320 simulator to show how the side-stick worked, Sullenberger never directly said the normal safeguards for "dual input" had been completely ineffective in a dire cockpit emergency but that's exactly what he and CBS exposed. Therefore he exposed an obvious and deadly "secondary hazard." "Dual input" by itself in a normal cockpit environment is harmless but in chaotic cockpit environment, which is a hazard itself,(primary hazard) it becomes a different hazard (a secondary hazard) which is deadly. propose new title to current subheading of "Side-stick control issue"[edit]
As evident in BEA's own reports and other shown commentary the safeguards against Side-stick misuse were ineffective. They are alarms that were overwhelmed by other alarms.
The title could read "Side-stick control- safety alarms ineffective" or similar to entirely reflect the content of this section. This is then consistent with sub heading 7.1 which reads "Inaccurate airspeed indicators" and doesn't simply say "airspeed indication issue"A5afety (talk) 21:49, 24 November 2020 (UTC)[reply]

when you approach an area of thunderstorms and before you establish turbulence penetration speed you give the storm a wide berth by altering your heading either right or left to maintain the wide berth away from the storm never climb or descend and continue heading towards the storm in the hope that you will be ok once you are clear of the storm return to your track...an aeroplane can be flown safely without any airspeed indication with the artificial horizon vertical speed indicator altimeter and engine power. 175.38.52.94 (talk) 04:56, 7 October 2023 (UTC)[reply]
