Military nature[edit]

In my opinion, the Izz ad-Din al-Qassam Brigades have all the features of a military organisation: they are an armed force, with a definite hierarchy, they do have a plurality of signs of recognition worn as uniform, they are the de facto standing military organisation of a de facto state (mostly Gaza Strip). --Mach1988 (talk) 11:15, 30 March 2024 (UTC)[reply]

As it happens, the sources in the lead all support "military wing", not "paramilitary" anything, so not sure where that really came from in the first place. Iskandar323 (talk) 10:00, 10 April 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Wrong title[edit]

كتائب عز الدين القسام (Kata'ib Izz-eddin al-Qasam) translates as Izz-eddin Battalions, not Brigades. The article should be renamed. Jokkmokks-Goran (talk) 09:48, 25 May 2024 (UTC)[reply]

It's not about the literal translation, but the most common name. Iskandar323 (talk) 10:16, 25 May 2024 (UTC)[reply]
