added link to autobiographical article at Commonweal, which extends information beyond the superficial. John Allen periodically cites her column: Oct 29, 2004; May 20, 2005. The First Things column On the Square cites Welborn periodically: e.g. Welborn leaving the editorial position for Loyola Classics series.
