Undue weight[edit]

While I appreciate that someone addressed the BLP concerns, the end result makes it appear as though Halcro has never done anything in his life besides politics. That may be wonderful for all the political junkies out there, but we're supposed to be writing these things for a general audience. This AP story, which came up close to the top of a Google search, prominently mentions his ties to the car rental business and treats his political career as a mere footnote. In reality, he not only followed his dad, Bob Halcro, in running the Avis franchise in Alaska, but also followed him into politics. That may be harder to source, since Bob was more a powerful behind-the-scenes type and never held elected office that I'm aware of. I've added a section on his business career. Unfortunately I can't access the AP source linked above, or some other potentially useful sources, because the websites are blocked in Europe for GDPR reasons (and the usual trick of using the Google cache doesn't work). I think there's still more that can and should be added about his blog and criticism of Palin, and his mayoral campaign and tenure as president of the Anchorage Chamber of Commerce, so I'll try to take another look tonight or tomorrow. – Arms & Hearts (talk) 12:52, 8 December 2018 (UTC)[reply]
