Redirect proposal

[edit]

This place is referenced several times at Battle of the Plains of Abraham. As it lacks notability apart from the historical context of the battle, I propose changing this page to a redirect to that article. Rklear (talk) 15:28, 2 November 2008 (UTC)[reply]

This change would create double redirects at Anse au Foulon and l'Anse au Foulon, both of which redirect here. Those would have to be changed also. Rklear (talk) 10:28, 3 November 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Those who do not know the significance of Anse-au-Foulon would not make the connection between it and the Battle of the Plains of Abraham. Merging it would not be of assistance to them, whereas keeping it, even as a stub, would. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 142.77.226.75 (talk) 14:31, 25 April 2009 (UTC)[reply]

  • Oppose- a merge or redirect is not appropriate. This article is about a geographical location. The target article is about an historical event. The topic material is thus not suited for a merge or redirect. -- Whpq (talk) 17:58, 28 May 2009 (UTC)[reply]
  • Opose - notable in its own right as a geographical location, which isn't solely confined to the Battle of 1759. I'd also suggest that after six months or so with no consensus for the merge, that the proposal be ended. Lord Cornwallis (talk) 18:48, 28 May 2009 (UTC)[reply]
