Estimated adult size?

[edit]

"Only a juvenile skeleton has been found, representing an animal over 7 meters (23 ft) long and weighing over 600 kilograms (1300 lb), which indicates an adult would have been even larger."
Anybody have a well-informed guess on the adult size of this thing? -- 201.37.230.43 (talk) 13:17, 24 April 2009 (UTC)[reply]

The known specimen is subadult, probably not too far off from being fully adult, so my own guess is it wouldn't be that much larger. Dinoguy2 (talk) 15:05, 24 April 2009 (UTC)[reply]
I'd have to agree as well. 30 feet, max. (And a pretty comprehensive article, considerind how new Appalachiosaurus is and its obscurity! Crimsonraptor (talk) 18:48, 3 September 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Citation needed for juvenile weight estimates

“Only a juvenile skeleton has been found, representing an animal over 7 meters (23 ft) long and weighing over 600 kilograms (1300 lb), which indicates an adult would have been even larger“ No source seems to be cited to back up this statement - does anyone know what the intended source is?
