Azoreans are not an ethnic group[edit]

Why is there an Azorean people as if they were ethnically different from the Portuguese people? Azorean people are the Portuguese people from the Azores. This would be a dictionary entry. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 89.180.24.121 (talkcontribs)

Not quite. Note the Dutch influence in Azorean blood. -Plasticbadge (talk) 00:46, 17 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]
That is irrelevant and in fact a drop in the ocean, and also other regions of Portugal also had admixture from other European nations. This article is OR, since it states that the Azoreans are an ethnic group. They are not and I would dare you to present a reliable source saying so. This article is a complete fabrication, the Azoreans is a mere regional designation fro a group of Portuguese that, like all Portuguese, may have some local particularities (such as accent, gastronomy, tradtions, etc.). I'm making this article a redirect to Portuguese people. Thank you. The Ogre (talk) 01:12, 30 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]
