"...best drummer of all time"

Though I do agree to this judgment, I don't think there's any way to prove this factually. Who gives out the best drummer of all time award? —Preceding unsigned comment added by A3ulafia (talkcontribs) 19:27, 20 February 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Yes, I found the above comment here a year too late. The statement by User: A3ulafia is valid. To my knowledge, except for drummer's polls in their most notable magazines, there isn't really any list like the ones that of many other instruments. Is there a Grammy Award for just drumming? Or anything like Rolling Stone magazine's famous lists? Also, the same exact All Music reviewer made another POV comment discussing the merits of Emerson, Lake & Palmer (in particular, the review of Carl Palmer also appeared slanted by the reviewer's unprofessional personal preferences. In both cases, the drummers were the ones discussed that way (maybe he himself is a drummer?)

Massive attack

[edit]

I think the Massive Attack mention paragraph is kind of anecdotic and having him in the second place is like giving too much importance to it. Taking into account the huge influence of Billy Cobham it's counfusing to begin with. In my humble opinion this could be solved by moving that paragraph way down.

Year of Birth

[edit]

This says he was born in 1948 but at the bottom says he is listed with people born in 1944. So which is it, 1948 or 1944? - Rachaella —The preceding unsigned comment was added by 74.69.8.191 (talk) 15:00, 12 December 2006 (UTC).[reply]

I saw him at the 'Trenton War Memorial Theater' in NJ. I had front row seats on the balcony which allowed us to look down at him as he literally crawled into and out of his drum-set. His arms were a blur!!!

is he ever credited as "Ahmad Miller"?

[edit]

Also any info on his faith? —The preceding unsigned comment was added by 76.22.78.184 (talk) 05:01, 6 May 2007 (UTC).[reply]

What makes you think he's been credited Ahmad Miller? I do think he's a christian, but I have no reliable source on that. McYaballow (talk) 19:05, 21 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Did he really tour with Miles?

[edit]

When could he have toured with Miles? Was there a gap between tony leaving and Jack joining? Tim Bucknall (talk) 06:55, 7 May 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Drummers influenced by BC

[edit]

Topper Headon from the Clash wanted to basically be Billy right? Even down to the headband Might be worth adding just to show how wide His influence is. I’ll try to find some concrete reference in an interview Tim Bucknall (talk) 06:59, 7 May 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Neil Peart from Rush was a huge fan and considered him a primary influence. Probably worth name dropping. As supporting reference, here is the Rush.com page for Neil. https://www.rush.com/band/neil-peart/ Sddingman (talk) 04:01, 14 May 2020 (UTC)[reply]
