Gameplay-feature: Graphics

[edit]

It says in the article: "Returning gameplay features from the first game will include the unique, cartoon-esque cel-shading graphic style"

A graphic style is not a gameplay feature. It should be rewritten. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 194.11.254.132 (talk) 11:50, 4 June 2012 (UTC)[reply]

"Borderlands 2 is a space western first-person shooter video game"

it should change into, Borderlands 2 is a hand drawn western first-person role playing shooter because of its skilling up system. you cannot call it a space game because the moon dlc is not out yet. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 94.211.65.251 (talk) 09:34, 30 September 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Release date

[edit]

It looks like there's a slow-motion edit war going on regarding the release date of this game. Per the Video games Wikiproject guideline regarding release dates, vendor press releases are not reliable sources for release dates but magazines like Gamespot are considered reliable. Accordingly, I intend to source the 2012 release date information to Gamespot, and remove the unsourced references to the mid-2013 release date. Thanks, Orange Suede Sofa (talk) 19:31, 29 March 2012 (UTC)[reply]

There's no official release yet, please change it to unannounced. --Bens_Dream — Preceding unsigned comment added by Bens dream (talkcontribs) 20:49, 30 March 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Yes there is. --MASEM (t) 20:59, 30 March 2012 (UTC)[reply]

No, there's not. It's a fan-made trailer, not made by 2K or any of the people affiliated with it. Please change the release date to unannounced or I will be forced to do so. --Bens_Dream — Preceding unsigned comment added by Bens dream (talkcontribs) 18:02, 31 March 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Release date has been officially announced: http://www.2kgames.com/#/news/borderlands-tm-2-kicks-off-new-era-of-shoot-and-loot-on-september-18-2012 94.192.45.239 (talk) 16:32, 7 April 2012 (UTC)[reply]

  • The release date has been showing on the official website for quite some time now (http://www.borderlands2.com), including back when I explicitly added that as a ref for the date upon reverting him on 30 march (but well before that too). Ben really needs to stop reverting. Equazcion (talk) 19:17, 7 Apr 2012 (UTC)

Borderlands 2 isn't an official website by the publisher, Gearbox. I will continue to revert unless someone finds a post about Gearbox announcing it. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Bens dream (talkcontribs) 11:11, 10 April 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Happy? Oh and look at what it lists as the 'Official website'. Now stop reverting sourced material before you get blocked from editing the page. SE KinG. User page. Talk. 16:19, 10 April 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Cyborg

[edit]

I notice that the article refers to Sir Hammerlock and Gaige as cyborgs. They are not, they are parapolegics with prosthetic limbs. I am thinking about making the change myself but want to see if anybody objects first. -Resolutionsmasher (talk) 16:41, 24 September 2012 (UTC)-[reply]

I don't want to be contentious, because it's a pretty minor point, but there are plenty of definitions of cyborg which would include such people; it generally means a being with both biological and cybernetic components. Euchrid (talk) 23:59, 24 September 2012 (UTC)[reply]
Just looked it up under a different dictionary and i agree it works, although the plot section is a bit lengthy (and by a bit i mean alot). Such information will more than likely be cut from it if a revision is made. -Resolutionsmasher (talk) 16:57, 26 September 2012 (UTC)-[reply]
I'm curious, what other definition of cyborg is there? 18:20, 1 April 2013 (UTC)24.189.46.33 (talk) 18:20, 1 April 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Dynamic missions

[edit]

The gameplay section refers to missions having different outcomes that changes the game's story, and makes mention of what I presume is the mission to save Roland. I remember Gearbox talking about branching missions in the runup to the game's release, but as far as I can tell that turned out to be pretty much untrue. Would anyone object to me removing this from the Gameplay section?Euchrid (talk) 05:02, 13 November 2012 (UTC)[reply]

To be more specific, I mean the line "...and dynamic mission systems. For example, taking too much time to save a friend in a mission may result in their death and the failure of the mission, which will affect the story as the player progresses." Euchrid (talk) 05:04, 13 November 2012 (UTC)[reply]
It perhaps needs rewording, the Roland mission *is* dynamic and may or may not result in a mission to the friendship gulag. Adycarter (talk) 10:41, 13 November 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Player Skin DLC?

[edit]

Information on the DLC on Steam (and I think XBOX Live and PSN) that adds new player skin customizations and head customizations is needed, and is currently missing from the list of DLC. 209.159.183.132 (talk) 17:22, 31 May 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Tiny Tina DLC Reception Info

[edit]

Added a sizable edit to the Tiny Tina DLC page detailing the DLC's critical reception as there was none to be found. May need further editing, my Wiki skills are rusty so feel free to make changes as you see fit. --TheShark93 (talk) 20:38, 10 September 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Open world

[edit]

Could this game be considered open world?ECW28 (talk) 01:36, 13 March 2015 (UTC)[reply]

This game is already in the category from when you added it back in October, and that has not been challenged. I would not worry about it. -- ferret (talk) 12:57, 13 March 2015 (UTC)[reply]
