Missing information

Says earlier in the article he was in an X Files episode, but later on in the filmography table it makes no mention of that. I'm not sure if it only applies to movies, but it mentions a mini series... and the table isn't in the correct place to begin with. I'd change but I'm not good at wikitexting. There's a discussion about this on the Internet Movie Database in his messagebord. The consensus seems to be that Dourif is a French name. NorthernThunder 23:22, 7 September 2006 (UTC)

Best known for Chucky?

I dispute this statement. I would say he is most well known for his debut in "One Flew over the Cuckoo's Nest". Particularly because the "Chucky" performances are purely audio and do not help at all in the recognition of the actor's physical appearence. Possibly, these days, he may be most well known for being Wormtongue in LOTR - seeing as everybody has seen the films! I have to agree, He's far more recognisable to me for his roles in "One Flew over the Cuckoo's Nest", "Lord of the rings", and even "Star Trek Voyager". I'm not aware of any reliable sources to back up the Chucky claim, and there certainly aren't any links to one in the article. I object to "...best known for his role as Billy Bibbit in One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest and Gríma Wormtongue in The Lord of the Rings: The Two Towers." Unlike those films that have certain fan-followings, the Child's Play series is very iconic, and Dourif's Chucky-voice is recognizable by virtually everyone. Dourif could appear in a film and people would identify him primarily by that voice, citing him as the "Chucky guy."

It just makes no sense to me why his important role in the Child's Play series is excluded from the introductory paragraph. It's like saying Charles Martinet is best known for playing the tambourine. Powerslave (talk|cont.) 04:29, 12 May 2008 (UTC)

I disagree. One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest is a well-known film and The Lord of the Rings is a cultural mainstay with many recognizable characters. "Chucky" has mostly a cult horror/slasher/whatever fan following. --64.149.41.29 (talk) 15:01, 21 June 2008 (UTC)

Disturbed role

Recent edit about Tales from the Crypt (TV series)

A recent edit added to the lead the information that Mr. Dourif acted in a role on the Tales from the Crypt (TV series). I think that this work is not notable enough to be included in the lead. Other editors may disagree - let's discuss. Shearonink (talk) 23:00, 1 July 2017 (UTC)

So...you're saying that because it is not recent and quite early that this role should be allowed in the lead? MOS:INTRO states "The lead section should briefly summarize the most important points covered in an article in such a way that it can stand on its own as a concise version of the article." How does a non-notable role which receives no further explanation within the main part of the article provide even part of an overview of Mr. Dourif's career? He received no awards for this work, he received no nominations, I am not aware of critical acclaim for this particular "Tales from the Crypt" episode...I think that since the content has been repeatedly removed if you want the editorial consensus to be that this role should be in the lead section then that needs to be justified. Orphaned references in Brad Dourif

I check pages listed in Category:Pages with incorrect ref formatting to try to fix reference errors. One of the things I do is look for content for orphaned references in wikilinked articles. I have found content for some of Brad Dourif's orphans, the problem is that I found more than one version. I can't determine which (if any) is correct for this article, so I am asking for a sentient editor to look it over and copy the correct ref content into this article.
