Famous Redcoats

[edit]

What is the source of these all being famous Redcoats? Few of their own articles mention Butlins or Redcoats, and the same is the case with biographies on the external sites. Also, how can "famous" redcoats have redlinks? Maybe they're not actually famous? Robertsteadman 20:59, 19 July 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Oh contraire Robert, your statement is illogical. If there were no redlinks then that would imply that Wikipedia was finally complete. Redlinks are merely potential articles.
The fact is that many of thses people have no articles yet!
I cannot exxplain why some famous people do not mention their Butlins careers in their bios - perhaps for the same reason that some notable composers do not mention the inner city comps that they have worked in, but prefer to focus on more prestigious establishments. My source is the official Butlins history.Neuropean 21:06, 19 July 2006 (UTC)[reply]
So Butlins are claiming these people are famous.... I have no problem with redlinks when there is an obvious possible arfticle. Please provide the link. Robertsteadman 21:11, 19 July 2006 (UTC)[reply]
Oooh, you are a scamp, arent you?Neuropean 21:14, 19 July 2006 (UTC)[reply]
None of those links show these people to have been redcoats. Some contain little more than their name. One is wrongly formatted. Please provide the links that show ALL of these names (not just the redlinks) were redcoats. Robertsteadman 21:43, 19 July 2006 (UTC)[reply]
Uh, no! Let's not get funny over this, Rob!Neuropean 21:45, 19 July 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Stub

[edit]

Is this article really a stub anymore? And if it is, it isn't really about an entertainer. Cowplopmorris 17:14, 8 September 2007 (UTC)[reply]

The article has been reassessed. Recommendations include adding more citations from major third party news sources (see WP:RS) instead of sites directly related to Butlins, additional formatting of citations and external links (see WP:CITE and WP:EL), and checking for dead links. Reds TV

[edit]

"The origins of the in-house TV system began in 1995 when Butlin's decided to make use of the, then, 'empty' fifth channel" As far back as 1991 this teletext service was in place and installed at Skegness, my then manager used to update it. It may have been there before then too. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 62.239.36.182 (talk) 14:06, 14 July 2009 (UTC)[reply]
