This article must be changed because it says nothing about the musician Cassia Eller was. The two information: her death and "She was a prominent lesbian". Wrong. She was an assumed lesbian but it has to do with her life and she never raised flags. It is an insult not to talk about the musician and only stress the polemical sides of a person. --Justana (talk) 07:36, 1 November 2011 (UTC)[reply]

I erased this phrase because it is not true: "She is also notable as one of Brazil's most prominent lesbian artists. Her sexuality, along with her musical style, has caused some to draw comparisons with Ani DiFranco and the Indigo Girls as well as [[Melissa Etheridge]"

Cassia Eller sexuality was part of her life like it is part of Elton John, Ricky Martin and others. Do people remember that they are gay? No. You are portraying Cassia Eller as activist and she was not. People don't remember that she was a lesbian the same way people only pay attention at many other homosexual artists: they don't their sexuality. Cassia Eller is not prominent because of her sexuality.

When the LGBT starts taking people's biography as a weapon "They are gay, they are gifted" they are being highly discriminatory. Leave people alone. I wonder if we have to start saying "A prominent heterosexual... whose work can be compared to the heterosexual..." No. This is not a good way to fight and if this is WikiProject LGBT studies, I believe you should consider other strategies. Leave people alone.

Who are these "some"? This is highly suspicious and you don't have a source for that. There is not such a comparison in Brazil. I wonder who did it.

Please, be careful with biographies of dead people especially those who are form other countries. Yo can take a look at the Brazilian article that is at Wikipedia.

I hope you don't put this absurd back.

This article has a serious factual inconsistency with the Portuguese version. The Portuguese version indicates that she went to Brasilia when she was 18 and nothing about dropping out of high school. It also gives some look into what she was doing there musically for the 10 years before her first release.
