Date of birth[edit]

The article says:

Chandra Shekhar was born on 17 April 1927 in a Rajput family at Ibrahimpatti, a village in Uttar Pradesh. He came from a poor farming family.^[1]^[2]

Page 59 of The Long March: Profile of Prime Minister Chandra Shekhar says: "Born, nearly 63 years ago, on July 1, 1927 at Ibrahimpatti of Ballia district of Uttar Pradesh Chandra Shekhar 'Singh'..."
The office of Prime Minister: A largely north Indian upper-caste, Hindu affair says that two Prime Ministers "have been Rajputs/Thakurs (V P Singh and Chandra Shekhar)" and "eight are from Uttar Pradesh (Nehru, Shastri, Indira, Charan Singh, Rajiv, V P Singh, Chandra Shekhar and Vajpayee)". It does not mention his date of birth.

So the IP editor was right in trying to change the date of birth to 1 July 1927.-- Toddy1 (talk) 07:13, 21 April 2021 (UTC)[reply]
