Tally's Corner

[edit]

was an amazing work of Lemert's. This page fails to mention it. I would like to request that that be changed.

I believe Tally's Corner was written by Elliot Liebow, Charles Lemert just wrote an introduction in the 2003 edition of the book. Greeneggz&ham (talk) 20:58, 13 October 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Fan site

[edit]

This article is full of blurb language ("helped to set in stone his reputation as the leading sociological interpreter of French theory") and bad academic writing ("to offer a radical different intellectual trajectory"). Please curb your enthusiasm. Wikipedia is meant to be an encyclopedia, not a praise singers contest. --Ankimai (talk) 09:28, 16 April 2008 (UTC)[reply]
