Potential Plans for Improvement[edit]

Hello fellow Wikipedians!

I am enrolled in a Technical Editing class at Texas A&M University and as part of my coursework I will be trying to make some improvements to this article. I am hoping that my potential contributions, along with your welcomed suggestions and modifications, will help us get one step closer to turning this into an A-Class piece! Prior to making any changes, I wanted to first address a couple of things I am looking to work on for the next few weeks.

  • The content is presented to us as just one big paragraph as oppose to sections, which affects the article's clarity. Incorporating Wikipedia's summary style could help improve this (WP:SS).
  • The information provided is very good, but it should be organized so that the format is similar to that of other festival articles.
  • Determining what should belong in the lead section will ultimately be the biggest task here since one is not provided. I could definitely use some thoughts on this!
  • Incorporating headings to introduce information and subtopics could make it easier for readers to identify what they are looking for, such as the Mr. Amigo Association.
  • If possible, more references should be included to improve the article's validity since the list at the moment is quite short.
  • Because the article's topic is a festival, adding some visual representation like images could be an important illustrating aid to understanding (MOS:Images).

If anyone has any additional opinions and even objections - please feel free to share! I am open to all feedback and happy to work with others as I attempt to help with the improving of this article. -Ms.Fixer (talk) 07:08, 27 February 2018 (UTC)[reply]
