Deleted?

[edit]

I hardly see why this page was deleted. The artists are notable and as time goes on I'm sure a great deal more information regarding the single's release will become apparent. 121.44.49.178 (talk) 13:24, 31 May 2009 (UTC)[reply]

NO, source will be found, reliable ones. Soon, do not have time now. Hey Boys and Girls (Welcome to the Show…) ° 06:49, 9 June 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Image

[edit]

The image used for the article needs to be shifted on htedefault position right as per WP:MoS#Images. Also at present the image size is too big (350px) for every browser settings. Hence I made it to default 180px and shifted it right. However, User:Tikkuy is continuously changing it back to a large version continuously. Let's see what is his reason behind this. --Legolas (talk2me) 11:11, 28 July 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Please do not make up rules. As I have already told you, if you read WP:MoS#Images yourself you will find that "most pictures should be between 100 and 400 pixels wide". The size you are currently reverting it to makes the image almost unnoticable within the article as does placing it right. Also, if you refer to the Images section of the article, you will find that the policy on images is "do not place left-aligned images directly below a subsection-level heading (=== or lower), as this sometimes disconnects the heading from the text that follows it. This can often be avoided by shifting left-aligned images down a paragraph or two." You will notice that this is exactly what I have done. Please do not accuse people of wrongdoings that are non-existent. Tikkuy (talk) 12:33, 28 July 2009 (UTC)[reply]
You haven't shifted the image a paragraph, rather you shifted it one line down resulting it being merged into the References section. That is why the image needs to be shifted to the right and keep it default. You have to take into consideration that not everybody watches with the same browser settings like you. Probably for you it works but maynot for others. Hence it needs to be kept in right. Also, as I can see clearly the image size is too much (350px for what reasons?) The image clearly fails WP:NFCC#8 and is just used for descriptive purposes. Then what is your reason behind elongating it so much? --Legolas (talk2me) 12:38, 28 July 2009 (UTC)[reply]
I have already explained this to you. 180px is not standard for any image. There is no standard for image size. The only rule is that it is between 100 and 400 pixels wide. Must I repeat myself every time I send you a message? When you revert my changes, the image is unnoticable because it is in the middle of what is already a graphics intense area, with the album cover and info box on top of it. You can barely see it at all. Also, the definition of a paragraph is a space between the two lines. Why is it that you want the image to be so small? Tikkuy (talk) 12:42, 28 July 2009 (UTC)[reply]
As I have explained before and you have failed to notice, that making the image size so big, it is overlapping the music video and references section. I don't know whether it is appearing the same for you. Hence I propese removing any image size from the code so that it takes it s default value for anyone who views the article. --Legolas (talk2me) 12:46, 28 July 2009 (UTC)[reply]
I would rather have an image that is overlapping a section than an image that is not easily viewable. It really does not matter if an image is going over one section. Tikkuy (talk) 12:53, 28 July 2009 (UTC)[reply]
Of course it matters! If you can view an article perfectly then why shouldn't another person? Also tell me is there anything in the image that you want readers to view by making it so large? I donot see anything in theimage that qualifies for such a large size. And you only just said I would rather have an image that is overlapping a section than an image that is not easily viewable. So that means you accept that the image is not easily viewable and is overlapping sections. This is strictly against WP:MoS#Images and needs to be reverted. --Legolas (talk2me) 12:58, 28 July 2009 (UTC)[reply]
Please do not use petty primary school tricks such as these to accuse me of something that is untrue. I said that most people would prefer to see a large, detailed and stand-out image that is going over more than one section than a small image which is confined to one section. You misread, misunderstood or simply do not comprehend my sentence. Also, there is no policy against an image going over one section. Tikkuy (talk) 13:04, 28 July 2009 (UTC)[reply]
At any rate, I need to go to sleep now. That's what people do, you know. Tikkuy (talk) 13:09, 28 July 2009 (UTC)[reply]

(Outdent)Since you dont read policies I should point it out to you again from WP:MoS#Images point 2 that images should be between a particular section and not overlap links form another one, which is clearly what is happening here. And maintain civility while posting here. --Legolas (talk2me) 13:12, 28 July 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Tikkuy, if users want to see the image in larger portion, they can click on the thumbnail. The guideline pointed out above is due to accessibility issues that some users may experience due to screen resolution and what browser they use. — Σxplicit 16:45, 28 July 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Legolas's point seems reasonable, from an accessibility point of view. Stifle (talk) 20:20, 29 July 2009 (UTC)[reply]

I won't try and go against consensus. If a majority of people would prefer to have the image there, then I'm fine with it. Tikkuy (talk) 06:48, 2 August 2009 (UTC)[reply]
