[edit]Discussion regarding the Chuck Schaden article
I disagree with removal of date links
[edit]Ischorr's edit of October 8, 2005 mostly eliminated the linking from dates in this article. I feel this is a disservice for multiple reasons. First, the links from day/month dates permit visiters to set their preferences for Wikipedia date display and have those preferences honored. Second, there are articles available about dates, showing, for instance, the day number of the year and other background information. The linking of years permits visitors, if they wish, to get some date context concerning other things that happened in the same year.
I also don't understand the change from the link to the article on nostalgia to having a link from the whole magazine name "Nostalgia Digest". There is no Wikipedia article about the Nostalgia Digest magazine, and there's already a link to the web site for the magazine. On the other hand, the article talking about "nostalgia" is useful background on the naming of the magazine, I believe.
I was tempted to revert the changes, but I didn't want to be high-handed without others' opinions. 198.208.159.17
