Propose to remove India as participant[edit]

The Indian Navy's participation in combating piracy in Somalia, is an independent effort and not part of the CTF 150. The link quoted as citation does not mention India at all. I propose to remove India as a CTF 150 participant unless any one else has conflicting thoughts on this. I also propose to remove India as a belligerent under Operation Enduring Freedom (I guess I'll propose this on the talk page of that article) as I think India is listed there since it's been included within the CTF 150 here. War on Terrorism Category[edit]

This article is in the War on Terrorism category, but other piracy and Piracy in Somolia articles do not have this category. Are anti-piracy efforts part of the war on terrorism? I doubt it. Please comment. If no opposition, I will remove this category from this article in the future. --DThomsen8 (talk) 13:05, 15 April 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Removed paragraph about change of command.[edit]

Here is the removed paragraph about change of command Iqbal relieved by Lange. An experienced editor is needed to correct the formatting problem and place the paragraph back in the article. --DThomsen8 (talk) 17:56, 15 April 2009 (UTC)[reply]

On 22 August 2006, Rear Adm. Iqbal was relieved by German Rear Admiral Heinrich Lange.[1] In December 2006, German Rear Adm. Heinrich Lange passed control of Combined Task Force 150 to British Royal Navy Commodore Bruce Williams.

Where does this go in the article? – ukexpat (talk) 18:30, 15 April 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Removed part[edit]

Removed the external link for some essay on a blog named "The Usage of Artillery Guns against Sparrows in Somalia". Why was it even there? —Preceding unsigned comment added by 129.10.221.221 (talk) 14:32, 7 March 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Propose removal of incorrect material about CMF[edit]

I am working in Public Affairs for Combined Maritime Forces in Bahrain and the following is not quite correct - CTF-150 is coordinated with, and incorporates ships of, the U.S. Navy's Fifth Fleet, under the Combined Forces Maritime Component Commander/Commander U.S. Naval Forces Central Command in Bahrain.

Please could you change it to the following? - CTF-150 is coordinated by the Combined Maritime Forces (CMF) based in Bahrain. CMF is a 25 nation coalition working out of the US Navy Base in Manama, Bahrain.
