"Comic Con" name trademark status[edit]

A few years back the Salt Lake City convention (now called FanX, formerly named "Salt Lake Comic Con") was sued and lost to San Diego Comic-Con for infringing its trademarked name. Probably worth mentioning somewhere in the article, since I always thought "Comic Con" was generic. Darkage7[Talk] 23:05, 28 September 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Just noticed the link in the lede photo, of Phoenix Comicon, is actually a redirect to Phoenix Fan Fusion, since apparently they changed their name too, to avoid the big bad San Diego Trademark. I haven't thought of a good way to include it, but it definitely seems worthwhile to include the trademark status. Darkage7[Talk] 23:10, 28 June 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Missing word added within paragraph under "Attendees" section[edit]

After reading over some of the information written under the subheading of "Attendees", I noticed a slight grammatical error within the first sentence.

"Attendees include artists and dealers offering products and services for sale to fans, and those wish to buy them."

Correction I'm adding:

"Attendees include artists and dealers offering products and services for sale to fans, and those who wish to buy them.

I'm assuming the "who" was missing from this sentence on accident, as it is important to identify both the seller AND buyers and "Attendees" . Xillis (talk) 00:32, 8 March 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Added source regarding Wizard Entertainment's "North American Comic Con" tour[edit]

For the missing citation in the 4th paragraph under "Wizard takes over", I'll be inserting a link from a website that details Wizard Entertainment's North American Comic Con tour. The website is named "Convention Scene" and is known for sharing information about things relating to comics. The link will redirect to a page on the website that speaks on the event's return and the multiple locations it will be held at.
