Command ceased in 1969[edit]

Can someone explain why this article states this command ceased in 1969 and yet we have a continuation of flag officers from 1969 onward with different titles if I was a reader passing by I would ask the same questions, if the posts after 1969 a separate and distinct offices they should have there own articles.--Navops47 (talk) 08:51, 14 January 2017 (UTC)[reply]

In 1969 the posts of Commander-in-Chief Portsmouth and Commander in Chief Plymouth were combined in the new post entitled Commander-in-Chief, Naval Home Command. You could create a new article under the title of Commander-in-Chief, Naval Home Command. However it would be quite a short article as the post was combined with Second Sea Lord in 1994. Best wishes.
