What cities?

[edit]

Call me picky, but I'm curious, what four cities can you destroy? Dralwik 19:02, 15 Jun 2005 (UTC)

I wish I knew. I listed the two I could verify, but I don't know the rest. My guess is that at least one of the remaining two is Tokyo. However, it doesn't really matter. If you look at the screenshots on MobyGames, all the cities are pretty generic, with buildings and streets that all look pretty similar. There are no notable buildings, such as the Empire State Building or the Transamerica Pyramid anywhere in the cities. The only relationship they have to the real cities is—perhaps—the layout. That is, the outline of the city and location of waterways. It's a pretty ancient game, they did what they could at the time. :-S Frecklefoot | Talk 19:07, Jun 15, 2005 (UTC)
I played this game hundreds of times. The cities were NYC, San Fran, Tokyo, Washington DC.
Any other questions about this game, let me know. It was the first game we ever got for our new Apple IIe, so it stuck in the brain pretty good. --68.45.21.166
Thanks for the info, I'll add it to the article. Next time, please sign your post. I added your signature to your post above, but to sign them yourself, type either 3 or 4 tildes (~~~ or ~~~~). The latter is preferred since it also adds a timestamp. Frecklefoot | Talk 14:53, Jun 16, 2005 (UTC)
I can confirm the above. I even have some of the original monster quick-reference cards lying around; I'll scan 'em in, one of these days. -ikkyu2 (talk) 21:33, 6 March 2006 (UTC)[reply]
