Communication Theory and Frameworks Fall 2022 Peer Review[edit]

The Cultural contracts page is well outlined, but I have several suggestions for further development. The introduction is cohesive, but the background section probably can include more details regarding the development of the theory. The textbook we are reading this semester can be an excellent source for reference. Similar suggestions for the "contracts" section, current layout works great, but more information is needed. For application section, I find several interesting studies (recent as well) on the theory, mostly on academic performance.

CCTP 752 - Peer Review - Fall 2022[edit]

Overall, this article is well-written and has a logical arrangement throughout. The content is and easy to understand for someone who is not familiar with the theory. However, there are few areas can be improved on this page.

The sources for this article are relatively out of date, all of them are published more than one decade ago, more recent studies should be featured in the article.
The article can provide the opposing side of the theory with theories and researchers to develop a more neutral viewpoint.
Graphs and visual aids might be helpful when explaining the conflict between mainstream and marginalized identities introduced in the cultural contracts theory.
The citation links work well and supports the points. However, there are more applications examples can be explored for the cultural contract theory.
