Untitled[edit]

In 1993 Kenyon was removed from teaching Biology 101 at San Francisco State University. On December 6, 1993 the Wall Street Journal published an article detailing Kenyon’s treatment: "Unlike Scopes, the teacher was forbidden to teach his course not because he taught evolutionary theory (which he did) but because he offered a critical assessment of it.”

Scientist?[edit]

So the article says Kenyon was promoted in 2000, but a list of publications shows he has not published any scientific articles in peer-reviewed publications since the 1970s (one creationist article and one creationist book don't count as science.). Can we get some sources on his promotion or his lack of scholarly publication? Agg56tt (talk) 07:49, 15 September 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Creation Science?[edit]

I note the term used in the sentence: "The case decision went against teaching creation science in public schools". My understanding is that the decision made explicit the fact that Creationism is not in fact science, and the scientific community does not accept any Creation hypotheses as being (valid) science. There would seem to be no grounds therefore for the use of the term "Creation science" in this context. Under the circumstances, I feel that changing "teaching Creation science" to "teaching Creationism as science" is appropriate. I have thus edited the section accordingly. Tarquin Q.
