Position eliminated?

I suspect that the position of DCDS no longer exists. The website for the DCDS Group is quite broken and hasn't been updated since 2004. The last Government of Canada press release mentioning the title is from 2005. The links on the old DCDS group go to ops.forces.gc.ca, which is itself now 404'd.

What appears to have happened, is that the DCDS was replaced by the operational commands (CEFCOM, CANOSCOM, etc), with the DCDS' responsibilities parceled out to the respective commands. See the end of the first page of this PDF.

I'm pretty wary about editing this because the internal structure of the CF is way outside my expertise - but if there's someone who can confirm this, then we should note the change in the article. -Joshuapaquin (talk) 22:49, 30 November 2008 (UTC)[reply]
