Opened when?[edit]

The article claims the Princess opened the hospital in 1983, but this local newspaper story implies it existed in the 1950s. and tthis site suggests that it dates back to 1890, and was rebuilt in the 1980s. Also see [1] --Robert EA Harvey (talk) 05:09, 6 February 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Construction of the modern hospital (as it is today) was undertaken on a site adjoining the existing Scatho Hospital in 1976 and was actually completed in 1982, although the construction team did not leave the site until 1983. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 81.96.122.57 (talk) 18:49, 15 September 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Yes, construction started in 1976 as that is when I moved to Grimsby (my father was part of the project team) and we moved away in 1982, when it was completed (some of the team did stay until 1983). — Preceding unsigned comment added by 82.20.236.141 (talk) 13:31, 23 December 2016 (UTC)[reply]

The earlier hospital is now reflected in the article. Dormskirk (talk) 10:29, 2 December 2018 (UTC)[reply]
