  • ... that the developer of Dujanah worked on the game during evenings and weekends? Source: "Whilst working on the game [Dujanah] in the evenings and weekends I made a little spin-off multi-player game for a game event in Edinburgh." [1]
    • ALT1: ... that one of the factors in creating the main character for the video game Dujanah was to give representation to a group that was underrepresented in media generally? Source: "To a lesser extent, representation in games was a consideration. Of my games, only about one in four protagonists are a white male character, three of those games the protagonist was essentially a representation of me. It’s not really a conscious decision, it’s just what feels best for the story." [2]
    • ALT2: ... that the developer of Dujanah held dialogues with a wide variety of people ranging from Muslim apostates and family members to a Scottish soldier who served in Afghanistan to get background on Islam? Source: "Besides an ever-growing reading list I have been having dialogues with many interesting and relevant voices; from Muslim apostates and Muslim family members to a soldier who has been part of the Scottish peacekeeping force in Afghanistan to mention but a few." [3]

    • Comment: I'm good with any of these ALTs -- my preference is probably ALT2, but obviously fine with any of them.

Policy compliance:

Hook eligibility:

  • Cited: Yes
  • Interesting: Yes
  • Other problems: Yes
QPQ: Done.

Overall: I'm only approving ALT2. The first hook is not unusual, and the second hook isn't currently unusual. SL93 (talk) 22:43, 20 November 2022 (UTC)[reply]

  • @SL93 and Nomader: While ALT2 is technically under the length limit, it's still kind of wordy. What would you think about:
    • ALT2a: ... that background research for Dujanah included interviews with Muslim apostates and a Scottish veteran of Afghanistan? -- RoySmith (talk) 14:29, 21 November 2022 (UTC)[reply]
      • I strongly prefer it actually and good with the change here (and thanks to SL93 for the review too). Nomader (talk) 14:32, 21 November 2022 (UTC)[reply]
        • @SL93: are you good with ALT2a? -- RoySmith (talk) 17:17, 23 November 2022 (UTC)[reply]
          • I am. Sorry. I've been busy. SL93 (talk) 17:24, 23 November 2022 (UTC)[reply]
            • @Nomader: where could I find ALT2a in the article? theleekycauldron (talkcontribs) (she/her) 02:32, 30 November 2022 (UTC)[reply]
              • @Theleekycauldron: Eek! Looks like I edited it out accidentally when I was making tweaks to the development section. Added a sentence back in at the end of it that matches the source (and the hook language here). Nomader (talk) 18:31, 30 November 2022 (UTC)[reply]
