Details
I've removed "the company is also a supporter of the Pan-Green Coalition", as it is out of date. Moreover, it's debatable whether the position of a company's top executive or chairman is equivalent to that of the company as a whole. Certainly the airline's services are not seen as intrinsically "Pan-Green" (or Fluorescent Yellow, if you prefer). Statements of this sort should go under specific individuals, with evidence. - The official name is Boeing 777 Freighter, not 777-200LRF!! ,June,22th, 2005 16:23 DEF
Destination change
Just to note EVA has recently dropped pax CDG service. I believe I read more LAX service is a result. A 77W TPE-NYC (Newark) service was added, nonstop eastbound. Enigma3542002 04:03, 4 October 2007 (UTC)
Failed GA
This article is extremely POV and at times resembles a marketing pamphlet for the airline
- "New Cabin" and "In-flight entertainment" section heavily shifts the NPOV balnace on this article. It contains unenecyclopedic material about how good the food is how comfortable the chair is and how the user can fiddle with all their comfort settings and so forth. Food menu, TV screens languages on teh TV shows - etc do not need all this detail
- Large amounts of the article are unreferenced
- References need to be formatted properly - see {{cite web}} with the details of the author publisher, date and so forth
- Source 3 is not acceptable as it is from the network to which this company belongs
- Other information should be sourced from a 3rd party if possible, rather than the website of the organisation which is preferable only for knowing hte POV of the company
- The magazine articles should have pages if applicable (ref 2 and 4)
- Dates should be linked per the WP:MOS - June 16, May 6 etc
- Minor things like staff wearing costumes of Hello Kitty is proablby not notable
- Date formats need to be consistent. Not 1 July and then May 6
- Sections on corporate governance/management need to be created

Article improvements
Per WP:AIRLINE, the article has been heavily revised. In reference to the suggestions from last year, cabin/entertainment sections have been reduced by 2/3, references added and formatted, dates linked, and management sections created.
Note that according to WP:AVIATION, the following items have been included:
- History- Care should be taken in the structure so that different versions of the airline are clearly marked.
- Slogans list by date with the oldest first-slogan (from-to)
- Notable advertising campaigns
- Livery
- Airline Affinity Programs-Information about frequent flyer programs and membership clubs.
- Services
- Food and Beverages
- Entertainment
- Special needs
- Class of travel (Coach, business, Premium, Executive, First, ...)
- Freight
- Charter
- Code shares
Further suggestions for improvement are welcome. SynergyStar (talk) 22:12, 14 September 2008 (UTC)
Evergreen Symphonic Orchestra
Is the link to Evergreen Group#Evergreen International Corporation on "Evergreen Symphonic Orchestra" really helpful? --JensMueller (talk) 22:50, 5 January 2009 (UTC)
- Yeah, maybe not...I'm removing the link. SynergyStar (talk) 00:11, 6 January 2009 (UTC)
I can not make out the part "when can be used with a credit card"
With regard to the Revision as of 08:15, 19 January 2009 of the article, I can not make out the part "when can be used with a credit card", in the sentence "Each seat is also equipped with a personal handset satellite telephone when can be used with a credit card", which was added by SynergyStar.--YOSHIYUKI OGAWA (talk) 03:36, 9 August 2009 (UTC)
- Ah, thanks for pointing out the typo, yes that sentence doesn't make sense. I have changed it to "which can be used" -- hopefully that is better understood. Regards, SynergyStar (talk) 04:23, 9 August 2009 (UTC)--YOSHIYUKI OGAWA (talk) 07:19, 10 August 2009 (UTC)
Thank you for the correction. As I also made a typo mistake in my last remark above, I corrected it myself. With regard to the sentence in question, as my mother tongue is not English, I was not a hundred percent sure that there was a mistake, although I could not make out the part of the sentence.
However, I was almost a hundred percent sure that there was a mistake in the Japanese translation of a sentence in the article "chosen people" as shown at the bottom. But then, I needed someone whose mother tongue is English, to make certain. So, I posted a question in the talk page of the "[chosen people]" article, for which I have had one response so far from an IP user, who gave me a great assurance.
Yes, your correction is just what I had in mind; however, as it was very unlikely for anyone to make a typo mistake of "when" for "which", I was at a loss. Was it a spellchecker that did it? I myself used an AOL spellchecker to post my last remark above, by sending an e-mail to myself, to find out that, if you are not careful enough, the spellchecker may give an unwanted result.
My posting to the talk page of the "chosen people" article is as follows:
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Talk:Chosen_people#Could_someone_please_paraphrase_the_following_sentence.2C_for_correction_of_wrong_translation.3F --YOSHIYUKI OGAWA (talk) 07:53, 10 August 2009 (UTC)
- I am glad to help with the corrections for this article. In answer to your question, I think the error may have happened when a sentence was moved, as part of arranging paragraphs. The result was likely not checked completely. As for the other article you are concerned with, Chosen people, I am not familiar with its history, so perhaps some editors on that article will be of greater help. Regards, SynergyStar (talk) 18:25, 10 August 2009 (UTC)
I thank you again. I would like to let you know that, as my daughter will be flying today from Tokyo Narita to Surabaya via Taipei on flight BR2197/H and BR0231/H respectively, if I can be of any help improving the article, I would be happy to. Regards. PS:By today I mean 05:15, 18 August 2009 (UTC). I am sorry if I were too late.--YOSHIYUKI OGAWA (talk) 20:59, 17 August 2009 (UTC)

Fleet Update
Impressive page about EVA AIR! Minor detail though, I have noticed that the fleet is not up to date. The three leased A330-300 have been in the possession of the airline by now. So instead of total amount of 56 aircraft, it should be 59 (incl. the a333's) with 0 confirmed orders under the Heading 'Fleet'. This adjustment should also apply for the info given at the top of the page, on the right side, Fleet size 56+28 orders should now be 59+25 orders. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Evergreen865 (talk • contribs) 20:24, 12 February 2012 (UTC)

15 images, 79 inline well sourced citations, good article, not really that great like United Airlines. JJ98 (Talk / Contributions) 00:43, 30 October 2011 (UTC) |
