Original[edit]

The original Edgewater Presbyterian Church article was deleted to fix copyright problems cited by various editors. There was question over language that was found on other websites, including the official Edgewater Presbyterian Church website that was recently published. Merge with Edgewater[edit]

Since the stated notability of this church is almost entirely related to its history and its location, I recommend merging it into Edgewater, Chicago. Establishing notability[edit]

The Chicago Tribune might have articles about the church, the Chicago Historical Society might have a file on it, and the church might have a historical file or press clippings which could be presented to establish notability. The Chicago Public Library might have books about the neighborhood which say something about the church, or clip files on the church. Online souirces are preferred but not necessary. Over a year and a half ago I suggested sources which should be used to reference the article. Reliable and independent sources with substantial coverage are needed. For some news articles (most behind paywall) which might have substantial coverage of the church, see Google News Search [1] which has several about historical anniversaries at the church, controversial programs housed at the church for aiding illegal immigrants, an unusual facility for Boy Scout meetings, noted theater companies which used the building, and the donation of the original pipe organ by Andrew Carnegie. Many libraries would allow full access to these articles. Additional online sources are the Google book Search results [2]/] which also includes other congregations in other locations of the same name.[3] is an article in Chicago Magazine which might have substantial coverage beyond the snippet view available online. "Transforming power" [4] has substantial coverage of the church's programs as the were revised, pp 146-147.
