Date of Birth[edit]

A couple of sources (including Wikipedia's own List of Royal Yacht Squadron members) give his birth year as 1942, but not the month or day; it's not clear when he stopped using Simon (the OBE citation uses this name). -Ashley Pomeroy (talk) 18:12, 29 May 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Chairman of the controversial Art investment[edit]

I have placed a Conflict-of-Interest Header Tag in hopes that the IP with a COI will cease editing certain content that is now considered contentious material to this BLP. (I haven't been able to reach them otherwise) Also, the edit summary is not enough presently and a debate of said content needs to be brought here for thorough discussion between WP editors before more edit warring continues (although removing contentious BLP material is not really edit warring); but obviously there is a run on adding / editing material to this page presently that needs attention here first; rather than back and forth rv'ing. - RudolfRedNose Please explain why you removed the COI tag on this page. There has already been a full and complete disclosure by an IP (3 addressess) stating that he is associated with the subject (client). It is necessary for this tag to remain. Your Talk Page [1] indicates that you have already been warned of suspicious activity; and your recent edits here at this article have only further contributed to this theory. If you continue to edit in this fashion you may be blocked from editing. Your latest edits have no references to back BLP contentious material. It must be removed. Personal info section[edit]

I have removed it as a WP:BLP issue. Freebmd is not a reliable source for a living person's biography, being a database of primary documents. This info would require a secondary source to verify it. Only in death does duty end (talk) 15:57, 10 January 2018 (UTC)[reply]
