Contesting speedy deletion

[edit]

I did not think that a company stub would be instantly nominated for speedy deletion. Isn't the point of a stub that it is given a chance to grow? In any event, the notability of this company is that it apparently provides the world's largest collection of online educational simulations for math and science, as is noted in the original stub.

Further, the company has received numerous significant awards in education and has been adopted in many school districts and in some cases in entire US states. This is amply documented not just in company press releases but also in external sources, but I did not see a way to add that information in a concise way, so decided to just add a stub and get to that later. As an example, the company was nominated for six Finalist awards from the Association of Educational Publishers, as can be seen from the links off this page. However, providing that link doesn't seem to be a very good provision of reference, so I was going to eventually get around to digging up something else which says it all on one page. There is of course a cite from the company blog, but that of course is not the best source for such information.

For comparison, see the article on BrainPOP, which is a single tool analogous to the tools provided by this company. That article has clearly developed nicely, and given the analog, I do not see why this article would not develop in a similar way. — Epastore (talk) 18:26, 17 May 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Update: I have added numerous references, which were easily located in Google Scholar. There are plenty more there. — Epastore (talk) 19:51, 17 May 2010 (UTC)[reply]
