American and UK law[edit]

The majority of citations for NOT for Canada; they are for the US and UK. Canadian law is more of an afterthought. I think all the non-Canadian material should be eliminted except in a section that makes comparisons, or perhaps a page such as fair use.--John Bessa (talk) 15:49, 10 July 2012 (UTC)[reply]

The first line of the article states that Fair Dealing is a defence against copyright infringement. This should be changed. Fair Dealing is a right of the public and represents a limit on the granted copyright monopoly. It is a significant difference; you can change copyright law to remove defences, you can not as easily change public rights. 208.38.59.161 (talk) 03:47, 14 April 2014 (UTC)[reply]

"the fair dealing exception is perhaps more properly understood as an integral part of the Copyright Act than simply a defence. Any act falling within the fair dealing exception will not be an infringement of copyright. The fair dealing exception, like other exceptions in the Copyright Act, is a user's right. In order to maintain the proper balance between the rights of a copyright owner and users' interests, it must not be interpreted restrictively. As Professor Vaver, supra, has explained, at p. 171: 'User rights are not just loopholes. What's to come of the future if the past won't be given answers for?[edit]

I don't know if this will do anything but my current situation is not my birthday November 16th 2021. From what I personally have been going through is not good and makes me literally worried for safety and not just myself but what is going on with my children and my now ex spouse. I'm going to try to be quick on this cuz I don't want to get into details and a lot of derailing of what's been going on has been happening but seeing people trying to cover their own tracks and I don't really know but I know online has a history of acknowledging the proper uses I want two guys been doing. I have been trying to avoid getting set up honestly for what seems to be the last 2.5 years since June of 2019 which was the attempted murder but for police officers. Now this stems from a dirty water issue cover up currently happening in Little Rock statue on with turn out two seemingly be a larger issue than originally known to myself especially. I've been dealing with being homeless and currently just in a place and being messed with by I don't know who but I know I'm being messed with and have been getting messed with which almost drove me and did I was put in jail and more. Now I had lunch investigation on the RCMP officers looking to charge him but since then they have claims to have lost your audio and video from four cop cars and four police officers that day. The only lost our audio and video to cover their tracks in the corruption that they have done. Now there's no witnesses to death threats also the officers pressing charges on me for setting me up you weren't my charges also laughing and joking about taking me North Vermilion one day and other threats and I can't get none of this hurts I can't afford a lawyer which in Canada were supposed to be entitled to proper representation and fair and have had no proper representation to show the corruption that they have done to a person and only to be let seemingly is game setup or either losing family members which I have also people because of what I've seen online busy trying to set me up to make me look stupid. Fact is you stood up for dirty water. And cops try taking my life little over three months later which we were supposed to have a hearing for. And was seen as being set up for someone else's amusement locally in Lloydminster. There were people that trying to help and in emergency situations as well one name being Lindsay and I have been with they're witnessing her try to do the proper thing and Report. I don't know where she is or how she doing just know people around me been messing around. Also I'm having communication issues with my devices because I know they're being weird or remote access by now they should all be cased back and I am seeking help soon as possible so I don't have to pretend what's happening is a normal thing that is not and laws are being broken daily and that's truth especially cruelty to another human. Last thing I can recall before 2019 what's global warming and news from other countries on a 5G networking issue which I don't honestly know too much about. However I do know I have tried doing the best I can with the situations I've been in and I know my family been lied to I taken advantage of. And this isn't funny because a person got to try calmly defend themselves due to real issues I got put through. Should never have to do repeat after trying and people are aware of what happened I'm writing today to ask Google for help whoever the speech is too and passing it to the proper areas because no one should be getting lead buy something that's being tampered with and I know for a fact that my devices are being tampered with because of how people talking around me and what are their intentions I don't know and that's what's up. That has to come to a stop. As now I found out one of my family members names have been gaining used by a few other people in town and I've already lost four or five family members in past couple years and my emotions being played with on this I thought my devices and seemingly a cop have gave me enough time to try and say it didn't happen or for someone to save face. It's a truth what happened but I explained why do the online thing but now so far ahead is it the proper thing to do or not I don't know because fear of safety and how people are joking around me at the are just joking what's to come of their Futures been some serious people get involved? I can't afford a lawyer and I've been forced out of work and what happens if I go back to work I need people joking or not.
