Fire safety: particular aspects of forestry mulchers[edit]

Forestry mulchers might be useful as part of fighting large wildfires, especially when setting up breaks far in advance of the fire's progress. Especially in such situations, there is a danger that the mulcher itself could be a source of ignition. Here is a manufacturer's page describing how to reduce the risk; some good info, although the "further information" links don't work. I suppose some other manufacturers offer similar methods.
