Clean up[edit]

This article is very poorly written. It sounds a like an elementary school essay. If anyone knows more about the sport, can you please add, improve and wikify the page. Thanks Ozzykhan 19:45, 21 September 2006 (UTC)[reply]

This game has come from Lippa (also known as s-cianco played in italy) and is not original of the indian subcontinent. 66.134.42.186 (talk) 23:06, 4 September 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Cleanup still needed[edit]

The criticisms made above still apply: this article is not helpful to the new reader, even one like me who understands cricket and so should have a head start; there are no inline citations (eg: where is the source for the India-Pakistan matches?) and the wikifying at times seems almost random: why is "stick" wikilinked, for example? There are also vague unreferenced statements ("It is possible that this game was brought from Europe during the time of Alexander or British") and also ones which are impossible to make sense of ("many people believe that cricket originated from gilli-danda").
