"Worldwide" vs. "national" fame[edit]

I changed "worldwide" to "national", regarding the level of fame achieved by Mr. DePorter. Another editor has changed this back. I am seeking to discuss this change, because I have my doubts about the use of "worldwide". I'm leaving it for now, but what evidence do we have of "worldwide" fame?  Mr. IP, Defender of Open Editing  04:18, 29 July 2008 (UTC)[reply]

No response yet. If no one objects, I am removing the "worldwide" qualifier and just leaving the sentence as "came to prominence" within a few days. I am also leaving this message on the editor's talk page. I'd appreciate anyone with objections to this compromise version voicing them beforehand! Repeated nuisance changes by 205.178.41.92[edit]

This person is regularly making changes to the biography of Grant M. DePorter. Most frequently, the middle name is changed to strange things like Mork and Maroon. They have also changed Grant's birthday on a number of occasions. Additionally they made several defamatory changes to Harry Caray's Italian Steakhouse, where Grant is CEO, most recently referring to is as a vomitorium. 12.215.48.227 (talk) 15:20, 7 March 2024 (UTC)[reply]
