Initial comments

[edit]

Lead

[edit]
  • I noticed the lead is missing the basic biography information - most notably his date of birth, can this information be found and implemented in both the lead and the infobox?
  • "with Iowa State classmate Mike Boxleiter" - at first glance I thought this was referring to Iowa state itself and not the university (and I'm sure many readers would have thought the same too). Can you re-word this to Iowa State University or something similar?
  • Despite the lead feeling too short, it does in fact describe his biography well along with his releases, so this should meet the GA criteria but not WP:LEAD (due to lacking information)...

Career

[edit]
  • "Wohlwend was named among Forbes 2014 "30 under 30" in the games industry" - just curious, could you put this in the lead? It seems to showcase his achievements?
  • "but two other team members (friends from Iowa State) lived farther away" - Iowa State University or Iowa itself?

References

[edit]
  • All the references are working fine, so this complies per the GA criteria.
  • The article is well referenced and reliable.

On hold

[edit]

@Czar: other than those minor problems I have found with the lead (and some confusing sentences in the Career section), the article is well written and well referenced. Most of it definitely meets the GA criteria, however I'm concerned about the lack of Wohlwend's basic biography, can you find any information and put this into the article? I'll put this on hold for the standard seven days. Thanks! Jaguar 17:36, 16 August 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks for the review, Jaguar! Would you mind leaving this on hold for an additional week (until the end of the month)? I'll be out of town for the next week and moving the week after that. czar  03:15, 18 August 2014 (UTC)[reply]
Sure, I'll put it on hold for whenever you come back! Jaguar 09:55, 18 August 2014 (UTC)[reply]
@Jaguar, his birthday isn't online anywhere, so I can't use it, nor is information on his youth, though that shouldn't matter since he has been covered for his career and not his general personality. What information is lacking from the lede that would make it fail the guideline? Fixed the first Iowa State mention, but it should be clear from that point out that it's the university (the state would be "Iowa state"). czar  01:36, 30 August 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Close - promoted

[edit]

Thanks for addressing them. You're right, I don't think that there any information lacking that would stop this from becoming GA - simply said though the article is well-written and clear enough to meet the criteria alone. Anyway, this one is promoted. Don't worry about the birthday either, I don't think it's compulsory! Regards Jaguar 16:58, 30 August 2014 (UTC)[reply]
