Nowadays his performance level has been diminishing considerably. He is struggling to get his rhythm right. He was severely punished by Shahid Afrid in the recent tour of Pakistan. Not penetrative in bowling as one in against Australia in 2001. In many of his recent outings, he is simply playing wicketless. With the performance against Australia in hand, he is surviving in the Indian cricket team squad.

But a very minor change I have made, as to meet the Wikipedia's standard, we have to write in unusual way. There is also one more Wikipedia in simple English, where we can use simple phrases and words. I feel nothing wrong in the changes I have made in the initial article. Srikeit, why can't you edit the same article with same stuff in your own language, as you have agreed the essence of the matter which we are investigating.

"Racial abuse"

I don't see how calling someone a "monkey" is racial abuse. It is no doubt abuse, but it bears no racial connatation in my mind. If that's the logic behind the word "monkey" being racist , then I am afraid it's a very flawed logic because scientifically every race originated from the monkeys , not just any race in particular.So it's quite absurd to say the term monkey is racist to only people of African origin.By the way, Squidoo welcomes it's members with a message "Monkeybrain go back to work!" Would you say Squidoo is a racist site ? I wouldn't.

I think under "western culture" it is deemed as quite offensive but I think in South Asian culture if he did say it, its more accepted as being cheeky. Also personally I think its just alot of bull-dust being created.

I think if you call anyone with an African background it they are likely to be offended. Same as calling someone "boy" wouldn't be offensive unless they happened to be African/American or similar. It is the context of the term that needs to be accounted for, especially if the person using it is trying to offend. Harbhajan Singh penalized: yet again?

On 28th march, Sunday, 2010, 25th match of IPL between Deccan Chargers VS Mumbai Indians was held at Mumbai. Deccan chargers elected to field by winning the toss still couldn’t reach the pinnacle and Mumbai Indians won by 41 runs. The main source of Mumbai Indians victory was a mere Indian off spinner Harbhajan Singh.

Due to noteworthy and marvellous performance by the Turbanator Harbhajan Singh was awarded as “Man of the Match”. Being an off spinner he tremendously stood to the slots of batting and bowling too.

But the controversies are the leading associates of Bhajji. He could never arise on the path of fame and name without falling into the clutches of grabbing gossips. Even though, after his earlier expulsion from IPL, Harbhajan Singh could not learn a lesson and keeps on creating the same controversies.

Therefore, in the third season of IPL 2010 also, he maintains to be rude and harsh enough towards other national players rather pointing to agenda that he should resist the sportsman spirit peculiarly when he is an Indian and it’s an IPL, Indian premier league, particularly organised in INDIA.

On last Sunday, 29 March 2010, Harbhajan Singh was found guilty by endeavouring an insult or shattering the opposing batsman T Suman of Deccan Chargers. The match referee Sunder Raman considered it as high priority offence and thus penalized Harbhajan Singh for $15,000.His efforts and awards for man of the match proved in vain after his intentional and solid proposal.

Mentioning Caste

Dear Editors!
There has been a discussion on India Portal related to mentioning of caste of subjects. The point is that mentioning caste of people, who have nothing to do with their caste, is found to be unnecessary by few editors. Hence the caste of the subject person needs to be deleted from the biography. I am not deleting the caste as of now but am only posting this here so that the regular editors of this article are well aware of it beforehand and no edit-wars take place. For details of discussion held on the portal please refer Wikipedia_talk:Noticeboard_for_India-related_topics#Mentioning_caste_of_Individuals. Your views if any are welcome there or even here.
And.... as the reasons of exclusion of caste pointed out were "irrelavant to notability of subject person", "privacy of the subject person", "inclusion of caste is like branding individuals", etc. other information included in the article which also fall under these cases will also be removed after discussions. Examples of it included religion, non-notable spouse's and children's and parents' information, previous occupation, lived in places, non-notability related educational qualification, etc.

Mention of chucking

I've read the page and I think there should be a mention about suspicion of chucking, because there have been loads of official reports and investigations of him. Even though he cleared them all it at least should be mentioned. - hfkm 20:39 14 March 2012 (UTC).

Did you notice that the second paragraph of the article states "His career was initially affected by investigations into the legality of his bowling action, as well as several disciplinary incidents" and under playing style "With a whippy bowling action, he was reported for throwing in November 1998. Ramgarhia

I have just removed the word Ramgarhia from the opening sentence of the Early life section. Although he self-identifies as a Sikh etc, the sources do not mention Ramgarhia, let alone show self-identification. Since that is a specific ethnicity, it represents a breach of WP:BLP. FAR needed?

I think this article has major issues and is no longer a Featured Article. Unless major improvements are made, I think we need to take this to Featured Article Review. The main points here:

• There are numerous unsourced statements. This is a BLP which makes this a major problem.
• There are prose issues throughout, and I'm not sure this would pass FAC today; lots of run-on sentences and repetitive structures. Someone should look closely at this.
• The lead basically stops in 2008 and has nothing for the last eight years
• "Harbhajan Singh married his longtime girlfriend, actress Geeta Basra, on 29 October 2015 in Jalandhar." is listed in "Early Life"
• There is hardly anything about his career between 2011 and 2015
• The structure of the article is fairly impenetrable.
• The later text is basically prose line.
• Quite a lot of fancruft throughout.
