Recent update based on cited research was reversed[edit]

@Onel5969: The page includes a notice that the page doesn't include sources and invites editors to improve the article by adding citations. I made some edits based on the research I've done and added citations. All the edits were quickly undone with the reason as "undo cut and paste move". I believe the reasoning for the edits is sound even though the application of the edits was partially based on a "cut and paste". Is there another way to get the correct info on the page without it being auto reversed? Thanks, DC (talk) 19:43, 20 February 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Hi Dancreel - You have to "move" the page to the correct title, this retains the history of the article, which means that the work on the page is correctly attributed. If you cannot move the page because there might be an existing redirect blocking the move, you have to request that the redirect be deleting as per WP:G7 (housekeeping, to make way for a page move). Once the redirect is deleted, then the admin will usually move the page automatically. Hope this helps. Onel5969 TT me 22:35, 20 February 2019 (UTC)[reply]
Got it. Thanks! DC (talk) 12:59, 21 February 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Harrison F.C.Harrison S.C. – I updated the current page with the more accurate club names and included citations. Harrison S.C. is the best page for this club but that is currently a redirect to Harrison F.C. DC (talk) 13:17, 21 February 2019 (UTC)[reply]

This is a contested technical request (permalink). Warm Regards, ZI Jony (Talk) 17:08, 21 February 2019 (UTC)[reply]
  • Support per nom, taking those print sources on faith. A couple of hits on Google Books ([1], [2]) suggests that this is correct. PC78 (talk) 10:07, 22 February 2019 (UTC)[reply]
