Go on then, I'll take a look at this later. First comment I'd make, just scanning through, is that the lead looks a bit short. Harrias talk 13:19, 27 September 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Harrias, Thanks. Let me know if there's anything specific needing to be incorporated into the lead. I think the current version provides a general overview, but I'm happy to expand as needed. ---Another Believer (Talk) 13:26, 27 September 2019 (UTC)[reply]
Lead
  • "..in Portland, Oregon's Buckman neighborhood in the United States." I guess this might be common parlance in AmEng, but it sounded a bit odd to me. Would you consider rephrasing it "..in the Buckman neighborhood of Portland, Oregon, in the United States"?
    • Oh, there was supposed to be a comma before "in the United States", but I've changed to your preferred wording. ---Another Believer (Talk) 10:59, 2 October 2019 (UTC)[reply]
Description and history
  • The location, in Buckman, is only mentioned in the lead. Given this article is most likely only of real interest to those in the local area, I would consider not only including the neighborhood, but being as specific as listing that it is on the corner of SE 10th and Morrison.
  • In the second paragraph, more about the size of the venue could also be added, from the official site: here.
    • I think we should avoid using the venue's official website as an inline citation, no? ---Another Believer (Talk) 10:59, 2 October 2019 (UTC)[reply]
      • @Another Believer: For bland details such as the size of the venue, it's fine: WP:PRIMARY says: "A primary source may be used on Wikipedia only to make straightforward, descriptive statements of facts that can be verified by any educated person with access to the primary source but without further, specialized knowledge. For example, an article about a novel may cite passages to describe the plot, but any interpretation needs a secondary source." Harrias talk 11:39, 2 October 2019 (UTC)[reply]
  • Who is Gina Altamura, and is she important enough for such a prominent mention, given that no other bookers or curators are listed?
  • Do we have any information on who founded or runs the nightclub?
    • Good question! I'm searching "Holocene Portland owner" and "Holocene Portland founder" at Google, but I'm struggling to find info, unfortunately. Hopefully editors will add over time as sourcing allows. ---Another Believer (Talk) 10:59, 2 October 2019 (UTC)[reply]
  • "In her guides to Portland, Rachel Dresbeck wrote the venue.." Should be "..wrote that the.."
  • What is the AWP?
Reception
  • Are there any older reviews that can be included here; ideally on its reception at opening.
    • Not finding much in the Oregonian archives via Multnomah County Library, but adding a 2003 review/description now. Otherwise, mostly seeing event listings and passing mentions. ---Another Believer (Talk) 11:14, 2 October 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Otherwise, all very neat and tidy. Harrias talk 10:49, 2 October 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Thank you! ---Another Believer (Talk) 11:20, 2 October 2019 (UTC)[reply]
