Curious Businesses

I removed 2 strange entries in the Operations section. Under the list "The Company comprises the following businesses:" I found: 1. Hygena This links to a superhero reality show, on this page I learned that Hygena is a superheroine who "fights crime and grime". 2. Shakers Shakers, the Protestant denomination Shakers. A religious sect. I haven't laughed this much in a while. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 109.78.152.137 (talk) 21:58, 4 February 2010 (UTC)

Founding Date?

Just wondering why this is listed as 2000? iirc back in 2000 it was still Argos Retail Group, and it didn't change its name or become its own company until it demerged from GUS plc 89.240.47.58 (talk) 22:36, 27 January 2008 (UTC)

It appears that this was the date when GUS plc merged its Argos and Reality UK businesses. I think you could just as well pick the date that GUS acquired Argos or, as you say, the date GUS demerged Home Retail Group Dormskirk (talk) 19:53, 14 September 2008 (UTC)

Fair use rationale for Image:Home Retail Group Logo.jpg

Image:Home Retail Group Logo.jpg is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in this Wikipedia article constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.

Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to ensure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.

If there is other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on the other images used on this page. Note that any fair use images lacking such an explanation can be deleted one week after being tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.

Removed rumour

"Rumours have been circulating that Asda will announce plans to takeover over the Home Retail Group, yet nothing has been confirmed." - no citation, clearly a rumour, so removed as not factual. Note left here just in case someone finds some corroborative proof elsewhere 87.194.86.204 (talk) 16:36, 1 June 2010 (UTC)

EFTPOS

"handling processing of in-store EFTPOS transactions"

EFTPOS, if you click on it, is a brand name for an Aussie company, although the E.F.T.P.O.S. acronym still applies...this should either be listed as "E.F.T.P.O.S." with a wikilink to "debit card" or be listed AS "debit card" (as in replace EFTPOS with E.F.T.P.O.S. or Debit Card, and change the wikilink to "debit card" in either case).

I've not made this change as I'll let others decide and I'll just put forward the suggestion 87.194.86.204 (talk) 17:22, 1 June 2010 (UTC)
