This page is not promotional. It is merely factual, about a company which has gained significant notoriety as one of the prominent tech startups in Africa. HotelOnline employs 42 employees, works with 1,000 hotels, and has recently completed a crowdfunding round for USD 250,000. Which definitely qualifies in terms of notability --Havarb (talk) 19:30, 18 January 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Notability[edit]

According to todays newspaper Finansavisen the company expects to sell African hotellbeds worth NOK 23 million in 2019. I have changed the revenue in the infobox and added the source. The original figure could not possibly be correct. The company charges 10% of the revenue they create for the hotels they serve. It is not clear from the article whether HotelOnline are expecting a revenue of NOK 23 mill in 2019 or they expect 10% of this. I have assumed so far that the expected revenue is NOK 23 mill. The article also states that they are looking for new capital and are working to find NOK 3 million which is not very much when we are talking about companies. According to Norges Bank NOK 23 mill today [[1]] is USD 2,66 mill or 2,14 mill GBP or 2,37 mill Euro. This is not a very large company. Of all the sources given in the article todays article in Finansavisen is the first time I have seen actual figures for revenue. The company is according to the article planning to move to Norway and by Norwegian standards this is a small company. --regards Dyveldi ☯ prat ✉ post 18:41, 8 July 2019 (UTC)[reply]
