Hotel Alder = "Alder House"??[edit]

I thought this was an article about a totally different place/location, until I got to the phrase about 'single room occupancy'; the paragraph continued to describe what is known around town (and on its sign) as the 'Alder House'. I'm seriously curious: are we talking about the "ALDER HOUSE" here? If so, I've never heard of it referred to it by any of the other names mentioned in the article. And if it was before, it isn't now--at least not among the people that actually live and work around here. No, Alder House is Alder House and the Hotel Alder is the Hotel Alder. The Hotel Alder is a historic building that was renovated and was formerly a SRO hotel, and the Alder House was new construction of affordable downtown housing that consists of SROs. [1] Alder House is located at 523 SW 13th Ave, and the Hotel Alder is at 415 SW Alder St. I hope that helps. Katr67 (talk) 17:18, 3 October 2008 (UTC)[reply]
