GBC only?

[edit]

There's also a PC game of the same title, so I assume it's the same game. --Temporarily Insane (talk) 14:42, 13 May 2007 (UTC)[reply]

I landed on this stub looking for information about "Hoyle", which makes a range of card, board, and casino games for a range of platforms. Game Boy Color only? That's like saying Led Zeppelin music will only play on cassette tape. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 98.192.137.50 (talk) 19:16, 27 February 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Various versions and platforms and the future of this article.

[edit]

As of today (June 23 2014), there have been and continue to be several versions of Hoyle Card Games (HCG). There have been versions released and name for each year from 2008 until 2012, as well as HCG Classic.

Each version might be available for different platforms: Game Boy, PC, MAC etc. I don't know if the package is identical for all platforms, but in some cases one platform version might have a different functionality than one for other platforms.

Notwithstanding the apparent failure of the article to reach its objective, its biggest failing is that it's only about the Game Boy version.

Because we now have different versions and different platforms for each version, I wonder how the likely complexity of a single future article will make it necessary to have (for example) a separate article for each platform.

it would be good to see other editors' suggestions. Twistlethrop (talk) 06:19, 23 June 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Yes Holye Card Games is a game series with a new edition release as recently as 2018, I would suggest a full rewrite to reflect that which I would be willing to do and I have some citations I can use. 2001:5B0:4BD3:43F8:7C93:33DF:F6D1:AE58 (talk) 21:12, 12 January 2019 (UTC)[reply]
