RfC: Interwiki articles

[edit]

How this article gets more interwiki links than Mao Zedong is beyond my imagination. I suggest check the interwiki articles for machine translation. --Skyfiler (talk) 01:59, 21 October 2009 (UTC)[reply]

They are not machine translations, surely. No translation machine can provide so many languages. But it's definitely cross-wiki spamming. I'll try to find the evidence.--Ice Sea (talk) 00:57, 23 October 2009 (UTC)[reply]
They are. See the discussion pages here[1][2]. It is obvious when someone pointed out that the article isn't even machine translated using the correct language before posting[3].--Skyfiler (talk) 05:40, 19 November 2009 (UTC)[reply]
The guy was a ethnologist, his pupils probably speak all these languages... Stuartyeates (talk) 08:22, 4 June 2010 (UTC)[reply]
Come on, ethnologists are not linguists. Read this article, this guy does not teach or do research in different languages. --Skyfiler (talk) 19:10, 3 July 2011 (UTC)[reply]

This looks like a well sourced article, but is the subject of a request for CU as of July 2009. It may need some mor research to make it balanced. +sj+ 03:48, 21 July 2009 (UTC)[reply]

See m:User:Kleuske/Huang Xianfan for some detail. Still a work in progress, though. Kleuske (talk) 20:03, 16 August 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Awkward phrases

[edit]

In the third paragraph of the Career section:

He was wrongly classified as historians five rightist (Huang Xianfan, Xiang Da, Lei Haizong, Wang Zhongmin, Chen Mengjia) No. big rightists, and became biggest rightist in Chinese history circles.

No? Big? It seems there is some POV in here, but then I have to understand it first. Bever (talk) 02:15, 14 October 2014 (UTC)[reply]

There is an RfC on the question of using "Religion: None" vs. "Religion: None (atheist)" in the infobox on this and other similar pages.

The RfC is at Template talk:Infobox person#RfC: Religion infobox entries for individuals that have no religion.

Please help us determine consensus on this issue. --Guy Macon (talk) 02:24, 26 April 2015 (UTC)[reply]
