You know that feeling you get? When you're really nervous, waiting for the results? Well, here comes that rainy day feeling again... Hurricane Angel Saki (talk) 11:04, 24 April 2009 (UTC)[reply]

I think that if you move that picture of Cora down to impact then you will be ready for GAN Jason Rees (talk) 00:29, 1 May 2009 (UTC)[reply]
On futher reading i discovered that this is the only Cora - in which case feel free to remove the year.Jason Rees (talk) 11:54, 1 May 2009 (UTC)[reply]
I could if I would, but I'm hesitant to for two reasons. First, because of standard rules for non-retired hurricane articles (Amelia also has a yearly identifier. Greta's a special case), and second, because "Hurricane Cora" is a redirect to the seasonal article. Hurricane Angel Saki (talk) 13:43, 1 May 2009 (UTC)[reply]

This article needs a preparations section. I would imagine watches or warnings were issued with Cora as it approached the Lesser Antilles. Thegreatdr (talk) 16:12, 6 May 2009 (UTC)[reply]

I'd imagine the same thing, but there's a problem: There are no sources saying whether such warnings or watches were issued. I've no doubt they were issued (Grenada was directly hit, so the possibility that no warnings or watches for it alone are close to being non-existant), but from what I've seen, no documents mention warnings. Not in the storm wallet, not in the seasonal reports, not in the news articles, nothing. This isn't an unusual problem, as many other storm articles are plagued by a lack of watches and warning sections. Will it cost this article the GAN? Possibly, but I'm afraid that I can't find any preps. Hurricane Angel Saki (talk) 06:08, 7 May 2009 (UTC)[reply]
I know missing this section has prevented some of the older articles I've worked on previously from being submitted for GA status, or sometimes even reaching C class. It sounds like you've checked all there is to be checked though. Thegreatdr (talk) 13:07, 7 May 2009 (UTC)[reply]
Not 100% true. When I was looking, there was an article in the hurricane archives I couldn't access due to being "premium content" (an article from "The Capital" out of Annapolis). To date, it's the only source I have not tapped. While I don't think it'd affect the article too much (many other articles I wrote with their help also had premium content which I didn't use, and a couple became GAs), I do think it has some more information. Thanks in no small part to another GAN going on (The Hardy Boys), I found the talk page had a Google News source on it, and thanks to that, I found for free the last article off of the Hurricane Archives and added it with a notice off of People. I now strongly believe the article is about as full as it can get. I may be wrong, but I doubt there's more info. Hurricane Angel Saki (talk) 04:20, 10 May 2009 (UTC)[reply]
