Non-free images

[edit]

User:PiracyFundsTerrorism tagged the "Music video" section with the "non-free" template, which reads as follows:

This article or section may contain excessive or improper use of copyrighted images and/or audio files. Please review the use of non-free media according to policy and guidelines, correct any violations, then remove this tag once compliant. See the talk page for details.

But left no details here. The two sets of images on the page show (1) the main characters and (2) the 7 sins. There are fair use rationales on their respective talk pages. Please elaborate your concerns, or they will be ignored (your username does not imply NPOV BTW, unless it's supposed to be ironic).

PiracyFundsTerrorism was correct in tagging the article, and while he did not elaborate his concerns, that's not a reason for ignoring them: at present, that section has ten (!) fair-use images, and eleven if you count the one in the infobox. I only removed seven of those ten, and even then I felt there was too many with the three left. WP:NONFREE states that fair-use galleries are unacceptable, and without sounding offensive, the justification for keeping the images, "the '7 deadly sins' is a very important theme in western art", is not a good reason for ignoring policy. Wikipedia takes copyright very seriously, and is supposed to be an encyclopedia of free content, and having ten fair-use images in a section in a single article goes against that. Lyrics

[edit]

If we are going to make pages for individual songs, shouldn't we try to include the lyrics? If not in the body of the page, at least as a link.

As with my response to the above, Wikipedia takes copyright very seriously. The lyrics are copyrighted, and having them in the article would be a copyright violation, and so would linking to a website that prints the lyrics without authorization. Acalamari 17:58, 2 March 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Covers

[edit]

I put the covers on chronological order, I hope you like that way.--201.247.28.6 (talk) 04:35, 14 May 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Given that this song is in this category, shouldn't there be some text in the article that actually relates to LGBT matters? People who don't know about PSB or the song who come across this article may be confused by the categorisation otherwise. Loganberry (Talk) 02:42, 26 May 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Was the song implicitly against Christianity?

[edit]

I noticed in the description of how Tennat wrote the lyrics about "purging his emotions in a moment of frustration and anger". Was the anger toward himself since he had sinned or toward Christianity since Christianity sees LGBT matters unfavorably? Was the song and/or the group as a whole against Christianity? I thought this subject might need some clarification. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 68.62.27.163 (talk) 20:55, 15 February 2010 (UTC)[reply]
