Lenoir's Death[edit]

Regarding Lenoir's death, I think the article has the facts crossed. The reports at the time suggested he died in a car accident, as do the lyrics of "The Death of J.B. Lenoir". According to Mayall, Lenoir's wife later told him that the reports were incorrect and Lenoir had actually died from a heart attack. This can all be cited in the documentary The Soul of a Man and Mayall's own liner notes to The Best of John Mayall And The Bluesbreakers (As It All Began). Regarding Lenoir's limited popularity, mistaken reports of his death don't seem unlikely. This should be remedied in the article. --Bentonia School 16:12, 2 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Article Revisions[edit]

I have made a series of large revisions to this article (not the least of which is the inclusion of an infobox -complete with citations):

  1. Copy-edit revision of entire article (grammatical edits)
  2. Copy-edit for tone
  3. Removed trivia (not cited) regarding the miss-spelling of his name and first sentence of Life and Career section (no encyclopedic content)
  4. Removed plagarism from the Allmusic article
  5. Removed unsourced material and replaced with sourced material where possible
  6. Add "fact" templates (citation missing) to all statements that are unproven and possibley disputable

In addition to the above I have removed the fair use notices from this page and added a "reqphoto" template. I have also re-assessed this article as "C" class under all of the above Wikiproject notices. The only thing keeping this article from becoming "B" class is the missing citations in the main page. bwmcmaste (talk) 00:40, 23 October 2009 (UTC)[reply]
